Senior Security Program Manager, VMware
Lisa Napier is a security technical program manager with a focus on incident response and secure development lifecycle process. A creative and empathetic technical leader with strong problem-solving skills and in-depth experience with wide array of security technologies and programs, Lisa currently serves as Senior Product Security Program Manager for VMware. She recently joined the VMware Security Response center focusing on process maturation, outreach programs and integration with SDLC teams. She was previously Product Security Program manager for Netgear, where she formalized the crisis response capabilities and managed the bug bounty program. During her work at Apple, became familiar with enterprise data center issues at scale, managing the third party software update programs. NetApp provided Lisa the opportunity to build the crisis response strategy, PSIRT capabilities and policies and outlined SDLC strategies. During her 18 years at Cisco, she was a Security Engagement Manager, responsible for evangelizing security throughout all levels of the organization, hosting, organizing and running the Cisco internal security conference, helping to define and build out the Cisco SDL,a founding member of the PSIRT, and working on the Cisco escalations team in customer support; she brings a customer focus and perspective to every role.
Lisa has a BA in visual art from UCSC, and is a Stanford Certified Advanced Program Manager, and was the first Security CCIE.
