Peter Burrows

Contributing Editor, MIT Technology Review

Peter Burrows has covered many of tech’s biggest stories over the last three—gasp!—decades, mostly for BusinessWeek and Bloomberg News and now as a freelancer. He closely chronicled Apple’s resurgence under Steve Jobs, and the ups and downs of Cisco, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft as well as hundreds of smaller firms. He was early to write about the long-delayed push for diversity in tech, and was one of a handful of male reporters at the 2014 Grace Hopper Conference. Burrows wrote “Backfire: Carly Fiorina’s High Stakes Battle for the Soul of Hewlett-Packard”, the unauthorized story of Fiorina’s tenure at HP, and has appeared on TV shows including PBS News Hour, Charlie Rose and Bloomberg West
